Negative Paintings

I love practices like this especially after a long day, just so nice to relax and play around.

Steps for this: I did a watercolor gradient in the background, just played with mixing colors.

Then, after they've dried, I sketch whatever comes to mind in pencil.

Last, I filled in all the areas around the main shapes. This time, I filled in with metallic markers on most except the top one I filled in with white paint. I have played with this technique many ways but it never fails to surprise me.
