A Recipe as Art - My Art and Student Assignment
My grandmother Jesse was known for her cooking in particular the various breads she made. Everyone in my family has fond memories of sharing, eating, and smelling bread being baked. Ahh.. So, I decided I wanted a bit of her in my kitchen, so I painted this large piece which hangs lovingly. It is a 30" x 48" canvas painted with Acrylic paint. I have since done this project with students. I love seeing their family recipes come to life. I just have my lesson on this one,
