Mixed Media Cards
Mixed media collage is always such a fun way to explore composition. These cards were the inspiration of a larger project that I did with students. We discussed how compositions that are pleasing have a variety of elements. A focal point, not always in the center, small and large, thin and thick, and a variety of textures that bring a piece together. The goal of composition is to make your eye move around the piece and to stay interested.
