Happy Sunday,
I've been wanting to share the pictures of the "robots" that my kids at school made. They're so great - everyone from K through 4th grade made one.
We have people, animals, machines, flowers, all kinds! Some were very successful, others ehh. I put out cheaper paint for some and it didn't adhere to the plastic bits very well and became quite flaky, so lesson learned on that one. However, as a whole I'm really glad that we did this project. I would absolutely do it again but probably stick to one grade at a time. There are robots stacked everywhere in the classroom because they are tricky to store. (picture below) LOL
Another reason I love this project is the collaboration of staff, neighbors, and others collecting bottle caps and other goodies to use. They came from all over, yeah!
Lids stacked inside one another, clever.
Mustache robot and I love how she positioned the lids inside the bigger OJ one. This was done by and Kindergarten student.
They are creative geniuses.

Someone gifted the school some really nice Golden Hi Flow Acrylic paint and it worked beautifully on this project; however, the reality is when this paint is used up, the chance of getting more is slim to none, so we'll enjoy it while we've got it. The gold and copper are already all gone.
The last consideration for this project is the cardboard. I was cutting cardboard for a LONG time. Cardboard for the backing and cardboard pieces to help create some of the shapes. Luckily, here again I was very fortunate for the donations received.
Hope these bring you some joy.
It's bumpy out there right now, lots of highs and lows. We are all doing our best to navigate so many things.
So, sending you a big hug!
Love, Eileen
