Plein Air Painting in Washington is so wonderful in the summer - When I moved to Gig Harbor, I joined the Peninsula Art League and this was one of the first outings that I attended. I struggled immensely to figure out how to paint this way; however, I loved exploring new places and getting to know others via art. I still struggle but I've found ways of simplifying the immensity of visual abundance into something simpler. The friendships I made during this exercise are wonderful as well. I found watercolor on paper is best for me outdoors. Keeping it quick and easy - if it doesn't work out, oh well, I still have fun.
